Deutsche Lufthansa the German airline is expecting full seats as customers book flights for summer travel. The airline hopes to complete its annual targets as the sun shines on the northern hemisphere. Finance chief Remco Steenbergen said on Wednesday, 3rd May, that the demand has been continuously strong. He is hopeful for this year.
The EBIT or earnings before interest and tax deductions is expected to improve for 2023, year-on-year.
The airline posted an adjusted EBIT loss of 273 million euros or $300.96 million for the first quarter this year. This was an improvement from last year’s 577 million euros loss.
The airline has been in recovery mode over the last three months as revenues jumped 40% to 7.02 billion euros through March.
Analysts hope that the airline continues its upswing flight in revenues all through summer.
